From Scythian [Term?] *kuzulaka (“striving, ambitious, energetic”), (cf. Khotanese kūys (“to seek, search”)).[১]
Possibly related to the name Κοζουλου (Kozoulou) and Κοζολα (Kozola) used by Kushan kings.[২]
Cognate with Gāndhārī 𐨐𐨂𐨯𐨂𐨫𐨂𐨐.
