Aligns its contents to the left, to the right, or centered.

|1= (optional)

The alignment. The valid values are left, right, and center. Defaults to center if not specified. While this parameter is optional, |2= is required, so in order to omit |1=, the editor must type |2= explicitly, as in {{align|2=foo}}.

|2= (required)

The content to be aligned.

|style= (optional)

Ignored unless the alignment is set to center, in which case any value given is sent directly to {{center}}'s |style= parameter. ({{align}} is implemented using {{center}} if the alignment is set to center, but otherwise it is implemented using HTML.)
