Kai
ইংরেজি সম্পাদনা
ব্যুৎপত্তি সম্পাদনা
Taken into regular use in the 1990s, with earlier popularity peaks in Scandinavia and জার্মানy. The medieval ড্যানিশ Kaj is possibly of Roman origin, লাতিনized as Caius, like the rare medieval ইংরেজি পুরুষ given name Kay. The জার্মান Kai may also derive from a West Frisian pet form of Gerard, Cornelius, Nicholas, or Kampe "warrior". In the U.S. Kai has also been explained as হাওয়াইয়ান kai (“sea”).
